At long last, I signed the papers and committed myself, for better or for worse, to pay large amounts of money for a new vehicle.

It took hours and hours in the hot car dealership (with broken air conditioning), but at the end of the day, we drove away in our Nissan Rogue.

Whew! I'm relieved to be done with the researching, test drives, soul searching, and endless conversations with salespeople. I really didn't like the intense focus on buying
stuff. And despite feeling
sick about such a huge purchase, it's pretty nice to drive a new car!

I can fully relate to all those sentiments you expressed in this posting associated with buying a car. Esp the feeling sick bit. But isn't it nice to be able to drive a nice car...you chose well! Enjoy!
Yay for a new ride! Enjoy cruising around. Steve and I were trying to figure out how you would fit your two tall boys into a little Honda Fit if you had gotten one.
